The Los Angeles Lakers finally finished off the Houston Rockets, recording a 98-78 victory in Game 6 of their first-round series on Saturday (PH time) at Toyota Center to advance to the Western Conference Semifinals.

LeBron James scored 28 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and issued 8 assists for the Lakers, who lost back-to-back games before clinching the first-round series 4-2.
The Lakers started off strongly, building a 23-18 advantage after the first quarter. They sustained the momentum in the second quarter, outscoring the Rockets 26-13 to grab a 49-31 lead at the half.

The Lakers never looked back after that, leading by double digits throughout the second half to secure a blockbuster second-round showdown with the reigning NBA champions, Oklahoma City Thunder.
Rui Hachimura also contributed in Game 6, scoring 21 points and collecting 6 rebounds. He shot 8-for-15 from the field, including 5-of-7 from 3-point area.

It was a disappointing end to the season for the Rockets, who shot just 35% from the floor in Game 6. Their outside shooting went ice-cold in this contest, going just 5-of-28 from beyond the arc.
Amen Thompson led all Houston scorers with 18 points. Alperen Sengun had a double-double, posting 17 points and 11 rebounds in a losing effort.
