The Dallas Mavericks handed the Denver Nuggets their fourth consecutive home loss, recording a 131-121 victory on Tuesday (PH time) at Ball Arena. Anthony Davis starred for the Mavs, who won back-to-back games for the first time this season.
The Mavericks used a strong finishing kick to capture the away win, outscoring the Nuggets 13-4 in the final six minutes. Davis led all scorers with 32 points, shooting 13-for-23 from the field. He also grabbed 13 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season.
Fellow starters Ryan Nembhard and Cooper Flagg scored 28 and 24 points, respectively, for the Mavs, who improved their overall record to 7-15.
It was a disappointing defeat for the Nuggets, who wasted a triple-double performance from Nikola Jokic. The three-time MVP racked up 29 points, 20 rebounds and 13 assists in 37 minutes of action.
With the loss, Denver dropped to 14-6. The Nuggets lost their previous home games against San Antonio, Sacramento and Chicago, with their last victory at Ball Arena coming on Nov. 9 against Indiana.
