Golden State Warriors team physician Dr. Rick Celebrini and the organization issued a correction on Thursday, clarifying that superstar guard Stephen Curry suffered a quadriceps contusion on his left leg, not his right.
The update was first reported by NBC Sports journalist Dalton Johnson.
The injury occurred in the final moments of the Warriors’ 100–104 home loss to the Houston Rockets, when Curry was seen limping off the court. Initially, the team announced he had sustained a right quadriceps contusion.
According to sources, Curry’s expected recovery timeline is approximately one week, though it could extend longer depending on his progress.

This season, the 37-year old has been averaging 27.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.3 steals in 31 minutes per game.
Despite his strong individual performance, the Warriors have struggled as a team, currently holding a 10-10 record and sitting in 8th place in the Western Conference.
