Filipino junior standout Karl Eldrew Yulo delivered another podium-worthy performance after snagging the bronze medal in the Floor Exercise Finals of the 3rd FIG Artistic Gymnastics Junior World Championships on Sunday at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Pasay City.
Yulo tallied 13.733—built on a 5.300 difficulty score and 8.433 execution—to secure third place in the elite global meet.
China’s Lanbing Yang took home the gold with 13.833, while Italy’s Simon Speranza edged Yulo for silver with 13.766.
Before his bronze medal in the Floor Exercise, Yulo finished at eight place in the Individual All-Around Finals the day before.
The 17-year-old Filipino ace isn’t done yet. Yulo aims to add more hardware to his growing résumé as he returns to action in the vault and horizontal bar finals on Monday.
