Terrafirma coach Ronald Tubid sang praises for import Mubashar Ali following Dyip's rare season-opening victory against Titan Ultra in the PBA 50 Commissioner's Cup last Wednesday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
The win meant that Terrafirma had already matched its record in the previous conference where the team scooped only one win against 10 losses.
"He's very coachable," said Tubid on Ali at a post-game conference. The seven-foot giant tallied 27 points, 11 rebounds, and a block in his debut game with Dyip.
"That's why we chose him because he fits in our team. Then when that happens, he challenges his teammates, the players."
"In practice, he never complains. Whatever we tell him to do, he does it," Tubid added.

Tubid also pointed to the changes being implemented by the coaching staff and players as the franchise works to move away from its long-standing reputation as the league’s perennial bottom-dweller.
"And also about enjoying our practice. The atmosphere at practice is very enjoyable, so that's the culture we are building at Terrafirma," he said.
