Team Falcons PH made bold moves to rebound from a disappointing run as they gear up for MPL Philippines Season 17.
Following his exit from Omega Esports, Salic “Hadji” Imam will be joining Team Falcons PH for and will replace Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel, one of the most decorated players in the ML:BB scene, in the middle lane.
Hadji will be joining an intact core composed of David “Flap” Canon, MIchael “KyleTzy” Sayson, Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo, Marco “Super Marco” Requitiano, and Edferdz “Ferdz” Fernandez.
The team also welcomed back former head coach and current Team Falcons Southeast Asia head coach Francis "Duckey" Glindro, who will now be with the squad to oversee strategy and development as they aim to bounce back from a fifth to sixth-place finish last season.
“So one of the reasons why I came back is because we were in a very grave spot last season, so it was the time for me to come back to remind the boys why we’re here and push them harder,” he said.
“Well I will still be managing, you know, the Southeast Asian region as far as coaching is concerned I’m still the Southeast Asian coach. But this time, it’s just additional workload but it’s the same. I will be living with the boys now but it will still be the same I think,” Duckey added.
Aside from Duckey, Vrendon “Vren” Lin will be making his return to the squad as the team’s newest head coach, taking over from Robert “Trebor” Sanchez.
