Rain or Shine taps Korean League campaigner

Jaylen Johnson will be the import of Rain or Shine for the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) 50 Commissioner’s Cup.
The 6-foot-9 Johnson recently played for Goyang Sono Skygunners in the Korean Basketball League, the same team of Gilas Pilipinas standout Kevin Quiambao.
His stint with the team, however, for the 2025-26 season was cut short, opening up the opportunity to play for Rain or Shine.
Johnson, 29, played college with Louisville in the NCAA Division I from 2014 to 2017, and in the G League with the Windy City Bills, Iowa Wolves, and Motor City Cruise.
Johnson also played for Bivouac in the Big3 3-on-3 basketball league in the United States.
Prior to his stay with Goyang, Johnson played in Turkey with Yalovaspor Basketbol and averaged 11.3 points and 5.6 rebounds for the ballclub during the 2024-25 season.
