The Atlanta Hawks returned to their winning ways with a thrilling 120-117 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday (PH time) at State Farm Arena.

Dyson Daniels led the way for the Hawks, who bounced back from a humiliating 115-142 loss to the Detroit Pistons last Saturday.

Daniels scored 27 points on 13-for-19 shooting. He also had 10 rebounds to record his second consecutive double-double. Onyeka Okongwu added 20 points and 15 boards, while Jalen Johnson notched a triple-double with 12 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds.

The Sixers had several opportunities to steal the away win but failed to convert in the closing seconds.

Down by one with 24.3 seconds left, Paul George missed a 3-point attempt for Philadelphia. VJ Edgecombe secured another possession for the Sixers with an offensive rebound, but Quentin Grimes missed a go-ahead trey with 10.6 seconds remaining.

Nickiel Alexander-Walker sealed the win for the Hawks, knocking down a pair of free throws with 0.3 seconds left to help Atlanta improve its record to 15-12. Paul George scored 35 points for the Sixers, who fell to 14-11.

What was Joel Embiid doing on that last shot? He wasted Paul George's flawless performance throughout the entire game

George felt 10 years younger and was back to the time when he was invincible, but the young players of the hawks are truly outstanding!
